Overview
The WIFI – Heatmap Tool translates your ELV access point (AP) layout into a wireless coverage map directly inside Revit, turning early design decisions into data-driven outcomes. Select AP families or linked ELV models, choose frequency bands (2.4/5/6 GHz), and the tool predicts signal strength (dBm) across floors using configurable path-loss and wall attenuation profiles. It automatically reads architectural elements—walls, slabs, glazing, cores—to estimate obstruction losses, visualizes coverage as a gradient heatmap, and flags underserved zones against target thresholds (e.g., -65 dBm for voice, -70 dBm for data). Channel overlap and co-channel interference indicators help you refine AP spacing and channels before procurement. Produce printable legends, per-room summaries, and exported reports (Excel/PDF/Images) aligned to your project coordinates and view templates. Whether you’re validating a consultant’s ELV design or optimizing your own AP count, the WIFI – Heatmap Tool reduces site surprises, accelerates coordination, and ensures your Wi-Fi design meets performance, density, and budget goals—all without leaving Revit.
