Overview

The Smoke Management Tool brings smoke control design directly into the Revit workflow. It covers both pressurization systems for stairwells, elevator shafts, and refuge areas, and smoke extraction layouts for corridors, atria, and large compartments. The tool reads spaces, shafts, doors, and openings from the model, calculates required airflow and pressure differentials, and sizes fans, ducts, dampers, and vents accordingly. Leakage paths through doors and construction gaps are accounted for, and results are written back to the model as parameters, tags, and color-coded views. Calculation reports, equipment schedules, and submission-ready documentation are generated automatically, helping fire and MEP engineers deliver compliant, coordinated smoke control designs while cutting manual calculation time.
