The MEP Openings Tool eliminates the manual, error-prone process of preparing builders’ work drawings in Revit. It scans MEP systems (ducts, pipes, cable trays, conduits) against architectural and structural hosts to detect penetrations and automatically generates the correct openings—complete with clearances, embeds, sleeves, and firestopping where required. Project-level rules let you standardize sizes, shape preferences (round/square/rectangular), tolerances, naming, and parameter mapping to match company templates and codes. With one command, the tool creates coordinated views and sheets, places tags and dimensions, and compiles takeoff schedules for openings, sleeves, and firestop kits.
